Now more than ever is the time to support local.
What a start to 2020! We can finally start to see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel here in Australia. There is not a single business or person that has not been affected by COVID-19 in some way…. some more than others!
In particular, Coronavirus has taken a toll on business owners. The changes they have had to implement due to government restrictions have caused some businesses to make the heart-breaking decision to close down.
At our heart, we are a family business and for us our family includes our employees, our guests and our community. As such, keeping everyone healthy and safe is at the forefront of everything we do. Here at Kalamunda Toyota we have managed to stay open during this pandemic and we are lucky enough to be able to implement and abide by all the necessary government regulations in order to keep our dealership up and running. Some of the changes we had to make not only affected our dealership but of course our staff.
By no means has it been an easy period for us. Our vehicle sales have dropped and our vehicle service department has been quieter than ever. Understandably so, the public are concerned about their own health, their own jobs, their own cash flow. In saying all of this we are still positive. With Australian government restrictions easing and opening up the regional borders we do have hope that businesses all over WA will pick back up again as people slowly have more confidence in what is to come.
Regional travel will be huge this year in WA, those who had to cancel their overseas holidays we hope are still planning to take a trip to explore our beautiful state, just like most of us always said we wish we had the time to do!
